Chapter 15:The Perfect Family for a Perfect Portrait

According to the book,the original Avila was scolded for being disrespectful for just having too much physical contact with her brother...

In a faint memory,words and images flashed through Avila's mind.

In the scenario,the original Avila tried to cling onto her brother's arm but was swayed then fall into her buttocks."Don't touch my hand!You are filthy!"He exclaimed,making an annoyed face while slowly walking away,leaving Avila on the ground.

And after that day,Avila was prohibited on stepping to her brother's dorms or even one step closer to him.She was isolated.

but look at this now...Who is the one breaking the rules?

Not only did his brother did not greet her well,he also slapped his little sister.

Never thought that he might have touched the filthiest thing in the world.

She can't deny it...the original Avila's family is insane!

Even though,Avila is his true blooded-sister,he loved the heroine more than his family...typical drama.

Her veins were now popping up on her forehead like a popcorn.She was clearly angry and mad at this person in front of her.But she can't help but still turn her head and faced all her might,to properly have a gentle smile in her face while her eyes were surely not.

Smiling and grinning like a lunatic,she spoke,"Not only do I have a cruel father but to think that I also have an abusive big brother.How amazing!"She muttered,sniggering at her own words while sarcastically making a small clap.She was trying to annoy him so that he could feel what she feels now.She was really annoyed.

Her gaze turned sharp as her brother in front of her flinched at his own view.

W-what the-...He was not expecting this...nor does he expect this kind of reaction.

He thought that once he scold Avila,she might cry or kneel with her knees,begging him to forgive him but to see this...why?

Why is she?

No.Who is she?

"You have gotten more disrespectful since the last time we met,Avila."He gave a dangerous glint at Avila but was shocked when he noticed that the sister right in front of him,was no longer the weak little crybaby.She did not only got scared nor tremble at his glance but was...smiling!

He doesn't know why or when Avila has changed but he is sure that it wasn't long that their eyes have departed since their departure a few months ago.What could make a person change so quickly.

"Pft.Not bad as you,too.Brother."She stated while placing her chin in her hand.She can't help but playfully have a smirk in her face,looking at her brother.

It's so entertaining in Avila's eyes to see her brother troubled.He might be wondering now that the original Avila has changed.Fufufu...Too late to say that.After all,the original Avila was no longer alive nor her sanity was back.All of this moment is now grasp by Avila's hands.

"You have become bolder and bolder than the last time we met.Why don't I give you another slap to see if you have snapped from your thoughts!"He was about to slap her face but was cut off when she suddenly hold his arm tightly,preventing his hand from getting closer to her face.Still,there was no denying it that his strength was far more greater than her body she had now.She can barely stay in this position.

If this was her past life,she might have killed him without mercy but now that she has low in power,she might have to step back.It's not like she has to admit defeat in this fight but maybe she needs to step down and wait for her revenge the next time she has the upperhand.By now,she needs to grasp and control this situation,first.

"I can ignore this if you leave this place(my territory) immediately but if you won't..."She stops herself,averting her eyes in a different direction then continued."I won't mind hearing such words around,especially about the Rosea household.In fact,it's kinda entertaining to listen stories about us,being a great family.Isn't that correct?"

"..."

She slowly inclined her body,moving closer and closer,getting high in her feet until she reached his ear,then whispered,"There are witnesses,brother."She stops herself,waiting for a reaction of his brother,whose eyes was now alerted.Then added."Be careful or else we might get into trouble."

Truth to be told,the only ones who knew the true relationship of the Rosea household were the people who raised Avila and the butler.None of the people from the outside nor the new hired workers never knew all of this or else trouble will come to their path.Especially someone who has been an enemy to the duke of Rosea in ages.

As she said the words she needed to speak,she suddenly went near his face.And not for one minute to decide,"chu",her lips were lightly placed in some of his cheeks.

Unexpectedly,his brother did not react nor flinched at her sudden action.

In an instant,all of her suspicions about her brother's reaction were brushed off and decided to just get on with this as she was dead tired of acting.

She slowly lowered herself then went back to her place but just to make sure, she has to add something more amusing to this show that she had created.

She doesn't want this scene to be called fake, right?

After all,their witnesses were enjoying the show.And looks like Garett is also playing...not wavering of getting closer of his so called dirty sister.

Without a second thought,she hugged the big figure in front of her.Some of her cheeks where buried by his brother's chest and hands where pressing his arms while looking at the otherside while his brother just froze.

She hugged him affectionately like a family.But behind the scenes is far more darker than the reality they had expected.

She smiled at the side of his brother's body.Slowly waiting for comments.

"Woah!Did you see that!"

"It makes me so envious that they had such a great love for a family!"

"Oh!How I wish I can come back to my family now!"

They said so.

'Mutter the words all you want,just don't expect that all you have seen now is the reality.After all,the perfect family you have seen now is nothing but a perfect portrait.'

Reality is cruel but atleast fantasy is exciting!

The moment she started to let go of their hug,abruptly,Garett returned the hug.He patted Avila's back and Avila's orbs shrank.She wasn't expecting this.

A sudden stingy pain was planted on Avila's heart.It was stinging like a small arrow was piercing her heart and she thought that her poison might be acting up again but no.The pain wasn't making her breathless.And her hearbeat rate was normal.

It was an unknown pain but when a tear suddenly drop from her right eye,she had realized.

Looks like this pain was none other than the small fragment of the original Avila's soul.Was she happy that her body was now hugging her big brother or was she sad that she can't see him anymore?

Welp,too bad.This tradgedy sucks.Why on earth would they pushed away something so innocent?It's already too late now that the original Avila is gone.No one nor she, will no longer accept their love.She had already experienced these kind of love and never wants to do it again.

Because love only makes a person weak.

Avila."..."

Garett."..."

For the last time,Avila who suddenly remembered something, spoke with a soar voice after she broke the hug.

She exhaled,smiled,then."Brother?I love you."

This words were so true yet so fake.

Avila was just repaying the kindness that the original Avila has given to her.She had now managed to fullfill one of her wishes.

["And please tell my brother,father and them..."

"That...thank you for everything and that I love them..."]

These were all,she wanted to say.

Only her father was now left.

Whereas,Garett just stood and froze at his standing position.He was speechless to say the least.His orbs shrank and eyes were shining from the blinding light that came from the window beside them.His eyebrows was slightly arched in a curved line.

Why is her eyes like that?Could she be crying?

His thoughts were cut off when Avila slowly went back to her room.Then said,"I still have something to do,brother.If you mind please leave me be.Have a good day!"

He was about to say something and grab Avila's arm from leaving but was stopped when he was slammed by the door.

The atmosphere went silent,then Garett slowly walked away from his place,going to the hallway,passing the two eavesdroppers while they bowed their heads,nervously sweating.

"You can go back to your assign works now."

"Yes!"They answered hastily while still bowing their heads.

Meanwhile,a black cat who was wearing a blue necktie sat in a tree trunk.It was facing in the direction where Avila and Garett was.It's eyes were red like blood.Who would have thought that it was spying them all along without them noticing.But Garett wasn't the one who was targeted....

...Avila was.
