Chapter 11:Poisoned

"What the?...I-t can't be.I-i turned pretty?"
Taken by surprise,she cupped her cheeks with her two hands while quizzically looking at her mirror and pressing her elbows against the desk.
Her face that was printed by a scar birthmark...was suddenly gone.Her face was now beautiful,maybe even more beautiful than a goddess.Her face was in sync of beauty along with her long white hair and perfect body shape.
This was her first time,that she could finally see the admiration and beauty of one's self.
But she couldn't help but question,how?
She was at the moment of shock.
How?and when did her face...became pretty?
"The mark?"She caressed her right cheek with her right hand while imagining her ugly birthmark was supposed to be here,but it's already gone.Like it disappeared without any traces.
"My ugly mark was real but how did it suddenly disappear?"She mumbled while touching her chin with her left hand.
In a moment of silence,she suddenly remembered something.
"The snow lotus!"She shrieked while leaving her jaw wide open.She was completely and utterly in a state of shock.
The snow lotus detoxicates all poisons then she wasn't born ugly...She was poisoned!
But according to the book,Avila already has her birthmark since she was a baby and who could possibly be the poisoner?!
This was all so suspicious and hard to absorbed all the informations that has happened to her!
This was at this moment,that she realized that the book she had transmigrated wasn't ordinary.
The ugly birthmark disappeared.Avila was poisoned.She wasn't born ugly.Transmigration-...
Before she could finish thinking,she was interrupted when a loud "bang" was heard behind her door.
She heard three knocks and decided to speak."Who is it?"
"It's me,Sabrina,young miss.Did something happen?I heard you screamed just now and also can I come in?"

Yikes!This was a bad thing for her.
Oh.Sabrina...why did she come at a bad time?
Avila was still deep in thought whether who the imposter is in her surroundings.She was poisoned and it was obvious that everybody that was closed to her was all sus.

Without hesitation,she ran towards the door as she turned her body around.
She pushed the door by leaning against it while her hands and arms were spreading and holding around the sides of the door to support herself up.
She was also being careful not to make any single noise or else she might get suspicious and ultimately let someone open the door while seeing her with a beautiful face.
She should not let anybody see...she should not trust anyone...even a family or a friend.
She gulped.
She can't help but felt a little nervous.She was panicking and her sweat was slowly dropping from her forehead onto her cheeks.
Sabrina stayed quiet while waiting for her master's response.
"Just wait a minute!I am still changing.Then you can come in."Avila barely said with a hoarse voice.
"Huh?But miss?Don't you always let me help you get change?"
"Not today!I'll do it myself,thank you very much!"
"Oh.Okay!Just call me when you need me!"As Sabrina said that,Avila heard walking footsteps that was getting faint.
Sabrina was obviously walking away that made Avila assured.
She slowly let go of the door and wiped her sweat off on her forehead with her left hand while sighing with relief.
"That was close."She whispered.
She should have been very careful and cautious from the start.She was poisoned and this even remind her earlier.
The sudden and unbearable pain,as well as the hot sensation coming from her body.That was not her being sick...it was all her toxins being activated.It only stopped when she ate the petal of snow lotus.
And not just that,but what if,the original Avila did not die from being weak but died because of being poisoned?!
Thrilled and confuse at the same time,she did not wait to check her pulse...She has to check her pulse first, to know her situation.
She pressed her index finger against her wrist while carefully examining her heartbeats.
It was a good thing that her pulse was normal but there was something bothering her.She felt a bit different,it's like,she felt something odd coming from her body.There was an odd gut feeling that her poison will be acting up again.
But if it does,she'll be ready because she has decided that everytime she goes and had to do something,she'll bring one or two lotus on her pocket.
But before that,she also needs to fix herself up.She needs to change her night attire and especially bring her ugly birthmark back.
How will she bring it back?
Of course she can't really bring it back,but with makeup,it will mostly cover it up.
Although,she lack confidence about make up,she has to do this.
"Alright,let's change first."

"Aaah?Miss?Is there something wrong?"Sabrina asks while Avila just look away,pretending to be calm yet she was panicking inside while making wild thoughts.
Did she noticed it?Is she getting suspicious?
Gyaaaahh!!!I am so bad at this.
She gulped and decided to ask."Ummmm...Sabrina?...Is my face okay?I-i mean...Is there something s-supicious you see?"She stuttered while her inner self was facepalming.
She couldn't believe that she already gave herself away.
Her face wasn't suspicious but she was the one getting suspicious.
She thought she was better than this but no...she is very disappointed.
From who?
Haha...From her idiotic self!
Now...this was it...she is completely doom!
Avila was very nervous and she was hardly keeping herself in a complete state of calm yet she can't...because her sweat was dripping from her forehead while her fingers in her back was embarrassingly fidgeting.
She couldn't help but gulp again.
"Aaaah?...."
Avila."..."
"Nothing is wrong,miss?Why would you ask that?"
Avila."..."
"Miss?"
Avila frozed.She was now utterly dumbfounded and speechless.
What could she expect?
Sabrina is her maid and she was the only one who was really close to the original Avila before "Astrid" transmigrated and replace the real Avila...yet...Even for a few moments they have been together,Sabrina did not even suspect a thing.
She did not ask nor got suspicious around her(Avila:Astrid).
"Oh,Sabrina...why are you so innocent?"Avila mumbled,not realizing she just said that.
"HUH?!What do you mean by that,miss?"
"Nevermind.Let's just...let's eat.Let's go to the kitchen,first."Avila demanded while slowly walking away from her room while leaving Sabrina utterly confused.
"Wait!Miss?What do you mean innocent?I am innocent?...Wait!Miss!Wait for me!"
