Chapter 39: The Third Name The notebook remained on the table long after Lily had gone to bed. Nobody could stop staring at it. The symbols looked meaningless to Serena, yet Victor seemed deeply disturbed by them. Rachel folded her arms. "You've definitely seen those before?" Victor nodded. "Not just seen them." He pointed at one of the symbols. "This is a Genesis marker." Adrian frowned. "A marker for what?" Victor hesitated. Then answered quietly. "Locations." The room became silent. "What kind of locations?" Serena asked. Victor looked uncomfortable. "Facilities." The answer sent a chill through everyone. He explained that Genesis wasn't only an archive of information. It also contained hidden locations, safe houses, emergency bunkers, and secret storage facilities scattered across multiple countries. Only a handful of people had ever known about them. And now Lily was somehow remembering pieces of that information. The next morning, Victor contacted the final person on Daniel Cross's list. Maya Torres. Unlike Rachel and Victor, Maya had disappeared completely after leaving Phoenix. Nobody had seen her in years. Fortunately, Victor still possessed an old emergency frequency. After several attempts, a response finally arrived. A simple message appeared on the screen. I know Serena is alive. Come alone. Rachel frowned. "That's suspicious." Victor nodded. "Very." Serena stared at the message. "Do you trust her?" "No." Victor sighed. "But Daniel did." The decision was made. They would find Maya. Because she might hold the next piece of the truth. Or the next trap.
