CHAPTER 4
As agreed, Victoria came to the company early. Marcia hadn't arrived yet, so she sat down to wait. She was reading a magazine when, the marketing manager, the person who had given the talk, walked in.
“Good morning, Victoria.” He said smiling.
“Good morning.” She answered with the same smile.
“I saw your photos yesterday afternoon. They turned out great.” He seemed more willing than before, Victoria concluded.
“Thanks, I haven't seen them yet, but if you say they were good, I believe it.” He sat next to her.
“Is it true that you live here alone, Victoria?” Your parents and boyfriend are not worried.
“My parents do, but I try not to give them reasons to worry.” She said.
“What about the boyfriend?” He seemed more interested than usual in the answer.
