The Tale of Two Sisters

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

Tick, tick, tick, tock.

The sound of the clock ticking, made Lisa annoyed as it messed her head. She then waved her right hand, as she commanded black spike to pierce through the clock, and made it stop. 

Klang!

The wall clock fell from the wall as a black spike destroyed it, and Lisa continued to sleep. 

However, she did not feel sleepy enough, since the clock annoyed her so much. 

She straightened her body to look at her surroundings. When she did, she realized that none of the doctor nor nurses had come to visit her.

"Hmm."

Lisa stood up and got up from her bed, barefooted, with her hospital gown. She snatched the tubes that had been inserted into her hands out.

She stretched as she did not move around much since she had been rushed to the hospital. For some reason, she felt satisfied.

"Why is it felt like I had been blessed with a new body?" 

Lisa tried to take a breath and felt her inner self as she had been reborn. She did know that the fear and horror that she felt is actually can be turned to a new power to her. 

She looked around at the messing room, as her black spikes filled the floor, making it resembles similar the ward is packed with black, massive needles. She touched each one of them, feeling proud, as it was her children. After that, Lisa looked outside of her window.

She watched the view outside and smiled.

"How long since I had tasted the outside's air?"

Lisa saw her clothes, neatly folded on the counter table near her bed. She took it, and changed to her cloth, leaving the hospital gown on her bed. She let her long, wavy hair passed through her shoulder, as she combed it neatly using her fingers. 

She brushed every single thread of her hair, playfully, as she was enjoyed it.

After she thought that she had finished grooming, she opened the window in her room. She turned around for one last time to see her room again, as black spikes are everywhere in the room. Feeling satisfied, she smiled.

"Better get going, or someone will get pierced if she saw me in this room like this."

Lisa climbed to the window's frame, and after one last smile to the room, she jumped.

"See you later."

Though her room was on the second floor, Lisa did not felt scared anymore, as she believed that her body can withstand the pain that was about to endure when she hit the ground.

During the fall, Lisa showed no sign of afraid or frightened, alternately, she smiled, joyfully. She did not have a fear of death anymore, as she believed that she is the death now.

After a long fall, Lisa landed on bushes, thick enough that no one noticed her fall. She quickly stood up and brushed all the leaves and twigs on her.

"Hmm, maybe I should land on the concrete after this, but never mind."

Lisa hummed something softly as she made her way back to her house. Since it was weekend, she had nothing to do outside, as usually she just spends her weekend alone in her home. 

During the walk, Lisa suddenly thought of Penelope, and she smiled to herself.

"Ah, my little sister might be bored to the death right now. I should hurry and talk to her."

Suddenly, the smile on her face disappeared, as she felt blank. She remembered the moments when she hurt Penelope and almost made her cried. Her heart suddenly had an urge of guilt, as she did not say sorry or anything when her little sister decided to leave.

"Penelope..."

Lisa's mind now is racing with unknown thoughts, mixing between guilt and anxious as she worried that Penelope might cry at home alone. 

At the time, Lisa's mind was not thinking straight, as she mixed all the thoughts inside her brain. More blurry images started to run through her mind, making her not reflecting like a sane person.

As a result of that, Lisa started to stray from her original path. She began to wander aimlessly, farther from her home. 

Lisa walked into the dark alley, which farther from the vehicles and people around. The dark alley, where homeless people and d**g dealer used to hang around, is definitely not a safe path to take.

Unfortunately, Lisa walked straight to their lair.

As she walked there, with her tangled mind between reality and memory, she wavered around, hitting the walls as the path began to narrow.

"Are you lost, little girl?"

A few shady-looking guys surrounded Lisa, making her stopped her walk. Lisa did not reply to anything, as her mind was still in a blank state. Her eyes did not show any emotions, neither afraid nor fear. One of the guys tried to push Lisa's head, wondering if Lisa is deaf or just crazy.

"Hmm, pretty sure this girl is just crazy, or deaf. Or maybe a bit of both."

As they were about to leave, one of them was eyeing Lisa, from top to bottom, and smirked. He then stopped his friends and gestured to measure Lisa's body.

"Wait, guys, this girl might bring fortune somehow."

Sooner, all of the guys then stared and Lisa, and nodded, with smug looks on their face. 

Lisa still did not realize what happened around her, as her mind is somewhere else. 

One of the guys suddenly grabbed Lisa's hand, roughly and pulled towards him.

"Come on, girl! Let's have some fun time!"

Later, another guy pulled another Lisa's arm and tried to force her to come with them. Lisa's expression suddenly changed, from blank to annoyed as her mind finally got the grasp of her current situation.

"Let me...go."

Lisa said faintly, as she did not want to get disturbed. She pulled her hands back and walked past them, only to be blocked by one of them. Later, all four of them surrounded her, making no exit for her. One of them started to show his tongue, l*****g his lips, disgustingly. 

"Why so rush? After all, the fun just about to begin."

All four of the shady-looking guys then laughed hysterically, thinking that they had already managed to corner Lisa. 

The word fun suddenly echoed in Lisa's head. 

And after that, she smiled cynicism. She nodded and turned to the guys, all four of them.

"Yeah, the fun was about to begin."

The guy laughed again, and again, filling the dark alley, as no one can hear them there.

"Finally, you actually can be an obedient girl, after all."

The guy in front of her was about to pat her head, but something unexpected happened. 

A black spike arose from the ground and pierced through his hand. The guy then screamed as he felt an infinite pain gored him.

"Argh!!"

After that, the black spike buried itself back to the ground. The guy, with a hole in his hand, suddenly fell back, looking at Lisa, in horror. The other three guys trembled, but they did not want to show that they are feared with Lisa. 

So, they decided to g**g up and knocked down Lisa altogether.

"H-hey, little girl! What have you done to our friend?! You need to teach a lesson about that!"

All three of them suddenly jumped to Lisa, but unfortunately for them, Lisa has the upper hand in this.

Lisa moved her right hand, effortlessly, and multiple black spikes arose from the ground, stabbed through the guys. One through their heart, one through their head and another one in their leg.

Of course, two of them were no longer able to talk, leaving behind only two of them, who are wounded and helpless. 

"You-! What are you, a monster?!"

One of the guys yelled while the other one tried to escape, with his legs wounded. Lisa approached the one with wounded legs, slowly, with a beautiful smile still on her face. As she walked, the wounded-legs guy noticed her, trying to crawl even faster.

"Go away! You monster!"

Unluckily for the guy, Lisa is faster than him, as she walked past him and stopped in front of him. The guy stopped crawling and lifted his head to face Lisa. His eyes began to weep, as he knew what will happen to him.

"Please, let me go, please..."

Lisa smiled, but this time, it has an ominous aura with it. She then giggled, but it only made the guy even more scared, as his pants began to wet.

"Why? Aren't we all want to have fun?"

The guy's eyes began to look Lisa in fear, as it was his final images that burned in his memory. Lisa flicked her fingers upwards, and a black spike arose from the ground again, and this time stabbed the guy, multiple time. 

The guy with his hand pierced can only watch his subordinates getting stabbed multiple times until none of remaining there. 

After that, Lisa turned to look at the guy, who was supposed to be the g**g's head. The guy flinched in fear when Lisa stared at her, and then she smiled. He gulped, and sweats began to drop from his forehead.

Lisa later started to walk toward him. As Lisa went near him, he cowered in fear and moved backwards, with walls behind his back.

"Go away!"

Sadly, his yelling did not make Lisa stopped and gave up, alternately, it amused Lisa, and made her laughed. 

"Aww, why? You want to have fun, right? Well, this is fun."

Lisa's words became a nightmare to the guy, as the guy trembled in fear with her words. As Lisa getting closer to the guy, the shaky the guy had become.

Finally, after the few eerie steps for the guy, Lisa stood straight in front of him. Looking the guy cowered in fear, Lisa crouched down to get face to face with him. The guy then speechless, as all Lisa did when she was in front of him, is just smiling.

"Ple-please, spare me..."

The guy said in fear, as his voice became shaky and nervous. Lisa patted his head and pouted.

"Why? Am I a bad girl now?"

The guy shook his head repeatedly, as he did not know the correct word to use. 

Lisa smiled.

"So, am I a good girl?"

The guy nodded and hoped that Lisa would leave him alone.

Lisa smiled again, but this time, it looked creepy.

"Then, a good girl should have her reward, right?"

The guy's eyes suddenly looked worried, but he nodded anyway. 

Lisa smiled, happily as the guy agreed with her.

Lisa then put her fingers on the guy's lip and touched it, playfully.

The guy shivered even more, but the next thing he knew, he can no longer sense anything.

Lisa moved her finger backwards, which made a normal-size black spike arose from the wall, behind the guy's head, pierced through his mouth. The guy's eyes suddenly went white, signalling that he was no longer alive.

Lisa smiled, and she touched the tip of the black spike playfully. 

She felt proud with the black spike, as it was her child. 

"Thank you."

After that, Lisa stood up, and the black spike buried itself back to the wall.

She then remembered that she needed to go home and talked with her sister, as she felt guilty with her behaviour toward her.

"Penelope..."

Yet, this time, Penelope's mind is no longer went blank nor crazy, as she was quite happy with what happened to her just now.

She thought that the incident had boosted her inner self, and she felt even more relaxed with it. 

She skipped to all the bodies, which were laying on the ground and left them behind.

Lisa skipped along as she was about to go home happy. She ignored the corpses on the alley and prepared her mind to meet Penelope.

A grand choice has been made,

but is it worth it?
