Back at Black Mirror Pack

Eric was looking at Lucas, sitting back in his leather chair. “I see you have decided on the future, Luna.” He smiled, “Well sort of, you know Mother wouldn't take no for an answer.” He laughs, “Well on a serious note Father, I came to see you about Rex.” He looked at him, “Drake said he can't sense Rex.” Lucas sighed, “I thought he was just joking when he warned me.” Eric's eyes narrowed as his eyebrows pulled together, “What do you mean by that.” He had his head down, “If I cause him to lose his mate, he'll…” Eric was confused,

"Lucas, but you found your mate, so what's the issue? “ “…” he didn't answer, 'I bet you that the she-wolf isn't his mate, that's why Rex is ….' 'No, it's not true, Rachel is his mate. Rex would surface anytime now.' 'I am an Alpha and I know what I’m talking about, that's not Rex's mate..... Alpha, the Forest Pack has been attacked the same way as us. “Father, what's….wrong? “ Eric rubbed his temples. “The Forest pack was attacked by those bloodsuckers.....half the pack was slaughtered. You need to get Rex, we must be ready for the next attack." Lucas looked with his eyes wide, “Without Rex, I'm….” Eric patted him on the back, “You found your mate, it's just a matter of time before he's back.” Lucas knew it was not the case. The arrival of Logan and the head tracker and head warrior brought him out of his thoughts.

“Where's Mark?” Everyone looked around. Eric called him through the link, 'Mark, where the hell are you? It took a while before he responded, 'Alpha, I just entered the pack lands.' 'Why didn't you respond?' 'Sorry, Alpha, I had to bail this fool out.' 'Who…? 'Andrew got in a fight with rogues in a human restaurant.' he cursed under his breath, 's**t, what the hell is wrong with that boy. I'll take care of that nephew of mine later. We have an urgent problem.' 'The bloodsuckers' Mark let out 'How the hell…' 'Will explain when I get their alpha.' with that he closes the link.

“Let's wait for Mark, he might have valuable information about this threat. Let's hear what he says and go from there.” Lucas sat back in the chair, trying to get a response from Rex, but it was useless. 's**t Rex.' He was frustrated.'How can you do this to me?' His words were fading into emptiness.

Mark walked in and looked at everyone. “Mark, what do you know about ….” He nods his head, “Well, I was waiting in line to get snacks when I overheard a girl speaking to a rogue about the pale ones that are around the place.” Logan looked at him, “Could you smell them?” he shook his head. " nope, I only saw them when the girl pointed them out.”

Everyone had worried looks on their faces. Lucas spoke, “How is it that you couldn't sniff …” he shrugged. “They must have musk their scent. That means we are in a lot of s**t, what if we aren't able to detect them. “he took in a deep breath after saying that. “Mark this girl, which pack does she belong to?” “Well, Alpha, she's a human. “ “What! “ They all said simultaneously. “How the hell is she even aware of supernatural creatures, and how is it that she could detect them.” Eric was deep in thought trying to figure it out.

“Could it be that she’s…? That rogue could have told her.” “Possibly yes, but it doesn't solve how she could detect them.”

They were in there all afternoon when they went for lunch. Rachel shows Lucas to sit next to her. “Oh, you two look so cute.” Eric looked at Andrew and the others, “Andrew, you know not to put attention…” He looked at his uncle, “What did you do again?” “Auntie Tracey, it wasn't my fault, but that filthy mutt was hitting on my girl.”

Mark scoffs “Since when cause you only set eyes on her before the fight.” He looked at Mark, "She’s just about to be mine. By the way, she’s different from all my ex-human girlfriends.”

“You can say again,she's indeed one of a kind.” Lucas was feeling a strange shiver going down his body. “Want to see my latest love interest.” He took his phone out and showed the photo. Logan took the phone and looked at thei picture. 'this is the girl.. ' Eric link Logan. 'Yip it's her. Alpha, this is the same one who saved Lucas that night… What the hell, how….we need to find her and get the answers from her. I'll be on it …"
