I get up and call Zander and Rachael into Kates room, Rachael sits in the chair next to the bed while I sit on the foot of her bed Zander stands just to the side of me
“what’s going on?” Rachael asks Kate, she looks at me and I give her a small nod
“Bears are different to wolves we don’t live in packs or big groups, usually females live with their young until it’s time for them to move on and have their own cubs. My dad used to spend his summers with us obviously to get my mum pregnant, spread his seed or whatever but then one summer he never came, my mum waited for him but after a few years we assumed he had been killed or found another bear.
