“Hi Beth” I wave as she walks over to the bench I'm sitting on. Ryan is behind me guarding me and Shane is behind Beth. “Hi Shane” he grunts at me and stands next to Ryan. They take a step back from us to give us more privacy.
“Hey Kate, how are you doing?” she asks giving me a warm hug
“I missed you” I say into her hair “I’m doing good though” I smile as she releases me, she cups my face and stares into my eyes.
“You look good. Having a boyfriend suits you. How's Liddy doing?” she lets go of my face and gets comfy on the bench with me.
“we’re both good, Beth. I don't need your potions anymore, i don't need to hide her” i smile genuinely happy about that
“Good” she sighs and leans against me, we’ve been close for years and i know something is eating away at her
