I turn to my left and see Kurt and Ravyn back to back cutting the throats of men and women. Damn it, I wish we were mated, then I could talk to him. At that thought he looks at me, he slits the throat of another witch and comes running over to me. He’s still in human form, he doesn't want to shift until he has to. He's an amazing killer as human or beast and I'm damn proud of him. He kneels next to me, he rests his forehead against mine and we breathe together.
