Zander kicks down the door and the stench of blood hits my senses first and panic overtakes me, I shift mid stride and burst through the door. I growl loudly into the room and Max is seeking out Kate, I see her crouching on the floor. I run to her side and push her with my head, she quickly looks at me.
“Matt” she smiles and throws her arms around my neck, she nuzzles my neck. I quickly shift back and hug her tight to my chest. I hide my head into her neck and smell her beautiful scent, she grabs my hair and pulls my head away. Tears streaming down her eyes, that's when I notice she's naked and she has blood on her face and hands.
