RachaelI’m exhausted and there’s a pain in my chest that I can’t shake, I walk into our bedroom and climb into bed. I toss and turn in the bed but no matter how tired I am, I can’t seem to fall asleep. Annoyed at myself I grab my phone and hit the call button, dad’s happy face answers the phone
“Hey sweetie, what do I owe the honour?” he smiles, then he must notice my red puffy eyes “what’s happened?” his eyes glaze over, and I know he’s linking DeeDee
“nothing’s happened, I just wanted to chat. How’s Array?” I put on a fake smile
“she’s fine.” he smiles, I hear DeeDee enter the room. Her face come’s on the screen
“what did he do?” is all she says to me for the tears to start again. I explain everything to DeeDee, and I can hear dad growling and swearing in the background
