It took almost hours of storytelling to Cronus before they ended their conversation. Selene enjoyed re-telling her stories on earth to Cronus. Because he listens with interested eyes and never showed boredom while she continues to speak endlessly. With this, she could reminisce and took off the load on her chest since the day she got stuck here. "You should rest now, I got hyped up, I didn't notice the time." She looked at her wristwatch, seeing that she's been blabbering for almost four hours. How can she be this energetic? "It's alright, I already recovered." She heard Cronus's smiling tone. "Recovered?" Doubting what he said, she examined his laying body on the bed. His western-style uniform was changed into some ancient roman style clothes on earth. The clothes are revealing themselves. With that, she had no hard time seeing his porcelain skin underneath the quilt. Instead of admiring his toned muscles, she got amazed by how does the body of wounds and bruises was nowhere to be seen. It's just a flawless and smooth surface. They heal themselves faster than humans. It's fascinating, she did not even notice that his face abrasion, even the black-eyed has mended. It was back to its original state and his handsome face is glowing again. Like he was never injured! "Yeah, didn't that vampire told you we regenerate fast?" "Well, he did. I just saw it with my own eyes now." She said amusingly, "speaking of, I have to see him. Maybe he's already awake." "Oh, okay. You should be careful, you can't trust them." "Hahaha, alright, you should sleep more." "Alright." Trying not to be disappointed, Cronus smiled and bid farewell to Selene. "Were you with the lycan?" Ares inquired as soon as she entered the room. The atmosphere is heavy and it was clear that while she was away the twins had a hard time taking care of their own young master. "I was." She said casually, "...are you guys tired? Let me take care of him." She smiled at them and signifying for them to take off. Phobos was exhausted by her young master tantrums. Her face lighten when she heard this from Selene. It's not like she is disregarding her duty to serve her master but Selene could handle him better. "We are," Phobos muttered pitifully and held Diemos arms preventing him to say anything, "Young lady Selene we leave our young master to your care, bye!" She rushed out and closed the door's room bringing her twin with her. Ares who remained muted the entire time was staring at Selene. He was waiting for her the moment he woke up, but she was somewhere else. Hearing that she was taking care of the lycan, his jealousy started to manifest once again. "Are you fine?" She walked directly at him while taking off the cloak. He was about to ululate at her but his eyes soften when he saw her arms bandaged by white gauze with bloodstains. "Are you okay? Why isn't this healed yet?" He jumped out of bed frisked in front of her whilst holding her arm carefully which is wounded. "I'm not like you guys, creatures with a super regenerating power. I told you, the human body is fragile and weaker." She scolded him with a smack on his forehead. Regardless, he still looked at her worried. "I'm sorry," With a soft tone, he apologized sincerely caressing her gently. "I was blinded by rage, does it hurt?" "Of course, it hurts. I was bleeding and the wound was deep! Your sharp nails penetrated to my skin." Lashing at him, she found it funny how guilty he is. Dropping his eyes, staring intently to her wounded arms. If his gazes could cure her, her wounds would be gone by now. "Why did you even get mad?" He shuts his mouth. Wasn't that obvious? Wasn't he? Why is she asking? Is she clueless? Or ..did she even considered his feelings? ...looking back, she doesn't usually react whenever the twins were teasing him to her. Why? Because she thought it was just a joke? If the twins noticed it, didn't she notice as well? Does she even care? Was she aware? Or denial? "Did you accept Lycan's proposal?" He queries instead of responding. Selene tilted her head, analyzing Ares's expression. "Did not." Replying to his question, she probed again, "why did you get mad?" Silence reign between the two of them. However, Selene noted how did Ares sigh with relief. "Will you answer me or will I ignore you from today onwards?" She added casually without changing her poker face. "I was...I was...I w-was jealous, okay?" Ares had a hard time telling her, his true feelings. Although he realized that even if he lies, the truth will come out sooner or later. Won't it get more beneficial if he admits it now? "Do you like me?" She asked frivolously, his eyebrows furrowed hearing her nonchalantly tone. "Isn't obvious?" Glaring at her, she raised her right brow and look at him with a stern facial expression. "The answer to my question is just do or do not Ares." Firm tone and hawk-eyes, Ares felt dominated. Heart skipping a beat, then beating so loud that he could hear its drumming beat. He always wonders, did she ever heard it? If she does, how could she look at him straight in the face without wavering? The longer he stares back to her deep green, soul-sucking eyes. The more his knees weakened and somehow wobbling. Looking away, he felt his cheeks burning. "...d-do," stating it slowly, he summer. "I l-like you S-Selene." "You need to move on." Without further ado, she dropped the knife. Directly to his heart. Stabbing straight to his vulnerable point. "What?" Dumbfounded, he looked at her again. Now without any humor, his gloomy visage revealed. "You have to move on if you like me." Selene who appeared to be a stone woman told him those words with no remorse in her eyes. For. The. Second. Time. "What?" Being more stupidity on how this escalates from confession to rejection. The hundred-year-old vampire, who had the appearance of a twenty years old young man. Had never experience refusal or was ever neglected, had just heard the most heart-piercing phrase from the woman who he considered his first love. Grimace was so visible in his distorted gorgeous face as she repeated, "...I said, move on." He scoffed, how dauntless, SHE SAID IT AGAIN! "I HEARD YOU!" He angrily shouted at him. Thus, she also knitted her brows. "Can you stop repeating it all over and over again?!" Ares roared looking menacingly at her. Selene on the other hand did not back down. Receiving and reciprocating his dagger eyes. "Then, STOP ASKING ME 'WHAT?'!" Irritated she pushed his hands away from her shoulder. "Ah?" he narrowed his eyes to her hands and reached out for it, gripping it he looked at her with a burning gaze, "I am asking you what do you mean?! How could you tell me to move on after confessing my love for you?!" Selene cringe, my love? For you? Is he f*****g serious? "Why can't I?" She gawked, she rebutted mercilessly. 'Why can't I? Is she serious?!' He urged them to protest to her but he has nothing to say. Because she can refuse him...he was expecting it...BUT! How could she interdict him off like that? "What's with that reaction?!" "What should I react?" His lips parted seeing how heartless she is. Her curious tone with her blank face. How should she react? Isn't it common sense to be polite and calm him down first, slowly tell him that he is too good for her or just any COMFORTING WORDS BEFORE REJECTING HIM?! That wasn't even rejection, it's a pure act of exhilaration! Do humans from her world have this kind of custom? Why is she so straight face?! It's annoying! "Aren't you cruel?! Are all human heartless?!" "Excuse me?! Why are you generalizing us?!" "Why are you breaking my heart?" He screamed to her, he looked up sensing his eyes burning and liquid started to build up. His nose had a pierce burning sensation and he sniffed...trying so hard not to cry. Maybe because Selene was right, he processed everything slowly. Now, that it's sinking that he was rejected, his eyes watered up on their own. "What?! Ares, are you crying?" She exclaimed hearing him sniffing like a child with a runny nose. Shouting with the behavior of three years old child. "I am! Stop breaking me! I am distraught BY YOU!" "WHY ARE YOU BLAMING ME?!" She couldn't believe her eyes! Ares is crying! Why isn't he ashamed? He's not even hiding it! ...it's not like crying is a shameful act, but ever since turning thirteen, she never saw a man cried! Instead of films and those who are four years old boys and below. He is not even a twenty-year-old but HUNDRED YEAR OLD VAMPIRE! "Who should I blame?!" He asked angrily with a death streaming tears-gaze. She was speechless at first with the new appearance that she never imagined she could see. "Blame your own! Who told you to like me?!" His eyes widened perceiving this from her. He is dumbfounded that he disbelieving his ears. He was right, the moment he saw her! He knew that she is no good! Pure evil! A nightmare dressed like a dream! The illusion that lures him to the pit of fire! "You're vicious! After bewitching me...you! You're brutal! Worst than an actual evil witch! You won't even take responsibility after making me captivated?!" "What do you want me to do? Marry you?!" Ares: "..." Both had shut up. Perception came from her mouth. Despite the fact, he is already in a state of heartache. Imagining her as his bride made his heart skipped another beat. Tingling sensation from his stomach sends voltage from his skin to his bones. Selene's eyes widened by disbelief at Ares daydreaming expression. He stopped crying to smile! "You want me to marry you?! Are you insane?!" He then blinked a few times seemed to be awakened. Blushing all over his face, Ares reprimanded, "...why...why...W-WHY?! WHY CAN'T WE?!" Selene was in awe. How can a man who always aggressively denying his feelings before became thick-skinned now?! He is even blushing so hard that you could know in a glance that he is ashamed by what he is saying!
