~ TWENTY TWO ~

550 Words
Carly grabbed the man and spun him until his back hit the wall. He was momentarily surprised that the woman had the strength to do so. Annoyed he started to tell her to knock it off, but he really should have tried screaming. He tried to push her away but found her body did not give as easily as it had the first time he shoved her. As he tried to speak she tilted her head and put her mouth on his neck. Before he got the first word out her jaws clamped down, biting as hard as she could, choking off his objections. Then the skin tore and ripped as she thrashed her head free. He didn’t know he was dying. His body tried to gasp for air but it wasn’t coming from his mouth and nose. He was drowning in his blood. He still pushed at the woman, but the strength was not there in his arms anymore. This time he was the one sliding down the wall and the woman slid with him. She sank her teeth into the fleshy part of his shoulder near the neck. Like a dog with a rope bone, she shook her head until the flesh ripped free. She took two more bites out of him before his spirit left the body. Carly stood up and retied her robe. She looked at herself in a mirror that hung on the wall. Her fingers fluffing at the tight curls while paying no attention to the blood that streaked over her lips, cheeks, and chin. “It’s me, sweetie,” she said as she tapped on Tandy’s door. “f**k you!” was the reply. Carly held back a giggle, f**k me he was and it was oh so good. Why did you have to come home early? A part of her mind knew better than to share those thoughts. “I know you’re upset, sweetie, but we should talk about what happened.” Carly’s voice was soothing as she placed the side of her face against the door. The wood felt cool against her cheek and she could hear the other crying. “He’s gone now. He said you were taking him back, but guys like him never change.” A tone of disgust crept into her voice, “you needed to see that sooner rather than later.” Something small crashed and broke on the other side of the door. “He’s gone now, sugar.” Carly fought back an urge to giggle, oh yes, he’s gone now, “so now we can talk. We should talk. I need to talk to you.” She paused, “I have done something else. Something really, really bad,” she grinned as she drugs out the words. The girl in the bedroom didn’t miss the change in her tone, but Tandy became worried and concerned by what that tone might mean. Tandy slowly stepped to the door. “Carly?” but the pause from her continued. She unlocked the door and twisted the knob. Slowly the door opened to find Carly standing there. She gave Tandy a toothy, gore-covered grin as the blonde noticed the blood painted over the terry cloth robe. There was just a moment then Carly lunged herself at the other.
