It only took Car a few minutes to find what he was looking for as he walked along the corridor on the third floor. There was the outline of a rectangle on the ceiling toward the rear stairwell. A trap door, like so many houses, has to get into an attic, only this one allowed access to the roof of the building. The area between the hatch in the ceiling and the one on the roof was dusty and claustrophobic. With a little effort, he bumped the upper access open. The morning sun flooded over him as he emerged.
