Zane Turner watched, somewhat awestruck, at how fast it spun out of control. The test group had been one hundred sixty volunteers. Soldiers from Fort Carson, men, and women just out of basic training, promised a bump in pay grade and rank if they participated in a thirty-day study. It was a double-blind test with half the volunteers getting a placebo, the other half testing out a drug. It was supposed to be a controlled environment. Some of the subjects reacted almost immediately, others it took several days. It was those first few, that when they went insane (for lack of a better word) that violence and chaos erupted at the test site. Five of the infected volunteers managed to escape, the rest, not knowing what substance was given to them, were terminated. That all happened ten days ago.
