Not the bimbo

Thankfully no one sees me jump. Miles walks the long way so he can come near me. It looks like he is gonna say something till Samantha grabs his arm and leads him away from my direction. He glances back to look at me or is he glancing at me. I might be making things up now when I see the rest of the fan group come up behind them. I sigh and head to Ms. Diaz desk.

“Sorry Jo about all that I wouldn’t have asked you about what school you went to before if you were uncomfortable. You are very ahead of us here. Would you like me to give you harder Spanish lessons since you know all the basics?” I grimace since I do not want to be signaled out again. “Um sure that will be fine with me if you want.” “Well i will have those extra assignments for you next time you come to class. Sorry again for making you uncomfortable.” She gives me a friendly smile. I turn to walk away. I like Ms. Diaz I think we will get along well.

Stella is waiting for me out in the hall. “Dang girl I did not know that you are so talented.” I start laughing girl I just know a couple different languages ain’t nothing special about that.” Stella just shakes her head. And pulls me go our next class. The rest of the day isn’t as bad.

We finally just get a tiny break to ourselves for the next hour till it’s time for combat training. I’m pretty nervous about that so I needed a minute to myself. “Hey Stella I think I’m gonna walk the campus a minute and get some fresh air.”

“That’s fine I’m gonna take a nap till training just come get me before we have to head that way. I know we get an hour break but we also get an extra hour after that to change into training clothes and get stuff ready.” I just nod my head. I’m afraid my nerves will get the best of me and Stella will notice. Stella starts making her way back to the dorm and I start heading to the open area around the campus.

I find a spot and just lay down on the grass. It’s nice to be able to relax in the outdoors when you want to. “Yes, yes it is. Later let’s go on a run and explore.” Luna says excited. “Haha fine Luna we can explore later!” She just nods her head and lays down.

I’m in my own world when the next thing I know someone pours a cold drink over my head. I jump up and look right into Samantha eyes with so much hatred. Great now I am soaked again. These aren’t even my clothes.

“Listen here red Miles is mine!” She yells in my face. Luna jumps up and goes into an attack position and growls. Her hackles are sticking up and her ears are pinned back. “Easy Luna she’s not worth it.” I say to Luna so she doesn’t force a shift and start a fight right here. She settles down a little and lays down. She still riled up but calmed down a little so we don’t force a shift.

Samantha pushes my shoulder. “You trying to steal my man and my popularity nerd. That’s not gonna work I see right through you slut.”

“Are you so dense you think I want your popularity haha but no I just want to get through this year and learn something. Is that so hard to believe?” She just crosses her arms and looks at me like I’m saying a joke. “I know what you are doing and it’s not gonna work. Miles is my man and I am the popular one.”

“If Miles is your man where is your mark Samantha? Oh right you aren’t his mate. So back off.” Samantha grabs my arm and pulls me close. “I will be his luna. Even if he finds a mate he will reject her for me. He knows and trust me. He won’t risk getting with a nobody.” She says the last part looking me up and down. She throws my arm back. I run the spot on my arm where she grabbed trying to not attack her right here.

“Like I said Samantha back off. I do not want to be Luna or want to be popular. You can have it.” She reaches down for her water jug she and sat down when I wasn’t looking. I just roll my eyes and turn to walk away. Samantha takes the lid off and pours the rest of the water over my head.

I start shaking. I’m so mad and not trying to cause a scene. So I just keep walking away when I turn the corner I run into a hard muscular object. Just great why did I have to run into him. I look up into those gorgeous green eyes of his.

I try and not let my angry tears fall in front of him but one falls anyone. “Are you okay Jozette?” He asks sweetly. I inhale harshly from the way my name rolled off his tongue. “Yea I’m fine. Thank you for catching me I guess i don’t watch where I’m going most of the time and trip. He chuckles lightly.

“That you do Jozette. As far as I can tell you have two left feet. The names Miles by the way.” “Yea I know I say a little harshly.” I blush and try to look away from him. He chuckles. “So you have heard about me or have you asked about me Jozette?” My breathe hitched. Oh gosh he must think I’m a half breed stalker trying to find out about him.

“Nope, I haven’t but your girl Samantha told me to stay away from you. Then she proceed to pour water of my head. So I will be on my way i snap not meaning to. Too late now. I walk away closer to the forest.

“It’s your turn Luna I need a minute.” As I take off Stella’s romper. “With pleasure.” Luna says as she shifts. Luna takes off running and I let her be. We couldn’t shift and run free like this before.

“Oh wow Jo look at this!” Luna says excitedly. She looks around making sure we are alone. We shift back and we sit on a ledge of a small cliff looking over a field full of flowers. I just stare in awe at all the different flowers.

I suddenly smell a heavenly scent of burning firewood and marshmellows. That’s one of my favorite smells. I inhale deeply trying to inhale every last bit of scent I can. I start getting flustered and my core tightens. I start looking around to see if I can tell where the scent is coming from. Then I see someone I never thought I would see. I thought it was just someone I was dreaming. But no there he is.
