I raised my face a little, peeking through my big eyelashes, lips parted to say something but no words would fall from them as I found Lord Andrew staring at me. It had been several seconds but he kept gazing at me as I tried not to feel awkward just standing there. He looked at me like just the way someone looks at the first drop of water after a drought, the first ray of sunshine after a breezing night, the first friend you see in the crowd, with amusement, fondness, and with a craving, a craving which makes you consume that thing when it's in front of your eyes. After a while when I noticed several servers waiting for him to announce his arrival, I cleared my throat and looked at him.
