Jayden smiled as Alpha Dane’s face darkened. Before Jayden could even return the greeting to me, Alpha Dane was there beside me with his hand at the small of my back. Jayden clenched his teeth.
Jayden gave a tight nod to Dane and said, “I had to come. Dave was pretty enthusiastic about the play.” I pursed my lips in a tight smile because Dave was actually not interested and never gave those vibes. “Besides, you invited me. How could I deny you?” he added, peeking at Dane.
