Mimzy picked up Dave to go to the animal kingdom. I followed them, sighing in relief and despair. Even though I was in Disneyland, I couldn’t help thinking of my little tryst with Dane on the Ferris wheel. It just made me squirm all the more. Made me want him more than ever.
But I had to stay away from him because of my son. The thought brought tears in my eyes. I had to sacrifice my feelings for my little bundle of joy.
We reached home tired and hungry. Mimzy and I prepared a delightful meal of noodles with a lot of vegetables which all of us had heartily. Mimzy left soon, thanking me for the outing. “I’ve never had so much fun, Violet. Thank you so much!” She hugged me tightly, and I closed my eyes. I needed that hug.
