ANABEL'S POV I mean, I should remember. I was in the passenger seat when I left, so why was it so difficult for me to remember? The more I thought about it, the more annoyed I became with myself. It wasn't like I was unconscious the entire ride. I was sitting right there beside the driver. I should have remembered at least a few roads, a landmark, a turn, something useful. Then I realized exactly why my memory was failing me. At the time, I had only just turned my phone back on, and I was busy going through messages while desperately trying to reach Chloe.
