Talis POV It’s the smell that gives me my first clue about where I am. That and the jute rug digging into my belly. After opening my eyes, I wait for the haziness and the blurred vision to clear. For several seconds I do nothing but stare at the way the sunlight dances over a single bed covered with a shabby-looking pink comforter.
