Zaynub Khalid Zakir and I were standing outside his mother's hospital room. Zakir was nervous the whole way. I mean, who wouldn't when their mother has amnesia? Hand in hand, we walked in. Laila, Deeliyah, Khadijah, and my father-in-law were all in the room. Laila and Khadijah were quietly crying.
