Staring at Drake, I felt torn. Part of me wanted to move toward him, but an even stronger part was burning with anger. I couldn’t believe I was caught up with a so-called Alpha like him.
I watched as he hugged Dean, pressing kisses on his forehead as if he could make up for lost time. As he began walking toward me, I caught his words, “I miss you,” escaping from his lips. I raised my hand and slapped him hard across the face, unable to contain the anger simmering inside me.
“How dare you?” I snapped, leaving him in shock. He looked at me, wide-eyed, but before he could speak, I pulled him into a tight embrace, holding him close to me.
