CHAPTER 8

428 Words
Unknown Pov. The room is white. Blindingly white. I try to close my eyes but they remain open, like someone is keeping them open, wanting me to witness this. Not even letting me seek for refuge in the darkness behind my eyelids. I don't remember how much time I have spent here or what my life was before here. There is nothing. Only white. I can feel tears sliding down my face, my eyes begging for the torture to end. ********************************* I wake up. I must have passed out. I guess the pain was too much for me to bear. The room is still white. My eyes still hurt and I want to pass out again. "Fool. You are a fool. You could have joined me. We could have been more together but you refused. You foolish boy. Honour will only get you killed in this world." I hear a voice in the distance say. I try to move towards it but I am immediately held back by silver chains. The chains have been here but I only just noticed them. The voice laughs, closer now. "You are weak. You are no better than the humans. You're just like your mother right before I ripped out her heart." I growl, wanting to rip her to shreds. The voice cackle again. I don't remember much but a distant part of my brain recognises this voice but when I strain my memory to remember who it belongs to, I feel pain. "Pathetic. I could restore you to full power you know. I can even make you stronger but you are arrogant, thinking your righteousness will save you. It won't. It didn't save your mother." I don't like this voice talking about my mother this way. I vaguely remember the her here, in this White Room but I know she loved me fiercely. I lash out wanting to strangle the owner of the voice that dare speak filth against the woman I cherished but I feel pain as the chains drag me back, the silver they are laced with digging into my skin and marking them. Everywhere stings and I feel my wolf coming out. He has had enough. My wolf shouldn't be able to take over. I shouldn't be able to shift with this much silver around but I am strong. The strongest werewolf to have walked this earth over the last millennium. Silver fur cover my skin and I feel my bones c***k and snap, the chains falling off as I shift into my wolf, howling to the sky.
