Chapter 6 I went and sat in the small office, putting Mia on the floor with some toys, but she was bored within two minutes and started trying to climb up on my lap, whining and pulling at my shirt. ‘What?’ I yearned for the day when she could talk and tell me what the problem was. Instead I fetched a ball from the play corner and we rolled it up and down the hallway for a while.
