‘Dunno. With whatever needs doing.’ Carl scanned the table and dismissed Madeline and her brother without asking who they were. ‘Macca’s funeral, for a start. Is Wendy coming up? Has anyone even told her?’ Heath cleared his throat. ‘Yes, a police officer went around to her house.’ ‘Good, good.’ Carl shovelled a forkload of food into his mouth. I hadn’t given the funeral a moment’s thought, and my skin prickled. Maybe I should ring Wendy and see what she wanted to do. I hoped she wouldn’t expect me to organise it. Making arrangements for Andy had been bad enough. But the only other person who might want to was Madeline, and the idea of that made my jaw clench. ‘We’re not sure when the body will be released,’ Swan said. ‘But if someone picks a funeral home, they’ll sort it out.’ ‘Mmm,’
