CALISTA'S P .O. V The silence after Roman left felt unnatural. I tore my eyes away from the closed door and cleared my throat. My eyes met Joel's flat ones, his hands were stuffed in his pockets, and Aunt Lean stood beside him, staring down at the floor like it was something fascinating. “Umm....so” I began, but my words were cut short when Joel tilted his head. I suddenly became self-aware of my disheveled state. I could still taste Roman on my lips, the heat of his kiss, the pump of his hips, the brutal, merciless thrust. My breath skipped.
