~Dominic~ As I stepped off the airport, the crisp wind of homecoming greeted me, granting me much-needed relief after weeks of dealing with overseas business. The airport commotion made it difficult to obtain my driver, but in the midst of the chaos, I noticed my dear friend Marcus walking towards me, his grin stretching from ear to ear. "Dominic, my man! Welcome back!" Marcus exclaimed, giving me a firm handshake. "It's good to be back, Marcus," I replied with a nod, a faint smile playing on my lips. Marcus threw an arm around my shoulder, guiding me towards the exit. "You picked a great time to return. We've got big plans to celebrate your homecoming." I raised an eyebrow, curious about the festivities Marcus had in mind. "Oh yeah? What's on the agenda?" Marcus chuckled, his grin widening. "Well, first things first, we're hitting up the hottest club in town. I've already reserved us a VIP table." I chuckled at Marcus's enthusiasm, but my mind was already racing with thoughts of the tasks that awaited me back home. As the Alpha of the Blackwoods pack, my responsibilities extended far beyond mere socializing. "Sounds like a plan," I replied, playing along with Marcus's excitement. "But before we dive into the party scene, there's something I need to take care of." Marcus raised an eyebrow, curiosity evident in his expression. "Oh? What's that?" I leaned in closer, lowering my voice to a conspiratorial whisper. "I've got some business matters to attend to. You know how it is; duty calls." But this time around, he didn’t let me off so easily. “Come on, man.” “You work too much, and your pack members should understand that you have a life outside of business and leadership. Will you ever get the chance to find love at this point?” “You know me; I don’t care about now.” “I just want to keep pushing my business and pack forward.” I added. “But you’re already at the top, my man; we should make a toast to the biggest business magnate in the whole city! My son would surely be under your mentorship because you are one badass lecturer.” He hailed amidst laughter. Seeing that he wouldn’t give up so easily and that there was nothing wrong with loosening up a bit, I agreed to it. “Alright, I’m in.” “That’s what I’m talking about; I’ll be your chauffeur for the day.” He offered jokingly before taking my luggage to the car boot. When Marcus and I arrived at the club, the bright neon lights and thundering music from the door welcomed us in. My unwillingness to participate in such activities was obvious, but I didn't want to dampen Marcus' mood by turning down his request. Inside, the club was a jumble of noise and action. Marcus led the way to our VIP table, and soon drinks were being served and laughter filled the air. Despite my worries, I found myself relaxing as the evening proceeded, enjoying a few drinks and participating in lighthearted discussion with Marcus and our companions. However, among the voices and music, a distinctive scent stood out, piercing through the veil of booze and smoke. It was a fragrance so intriguing and tempting that it triggered something deep within me. My senses intensified instinctively, and I began to seek out the source of the fragrance. The wolf within me stirred, asserting itself in my thoughts. “Mate,” it said insistently, its voice ringing with eagerness. I surveyed the crowded room, my gaze darting from one face to the next in search of the woman whose perfume had captivated me. And suddenly, amidst the crowd, I heard it: a voice calling my name. “Dominic.” My heart skipped a beat as I turned to face the voice; my senses were heightened and alert. A woman stood in the crowd. Her eyes locked on mine, and everything else faded off. It was as if the world had vanished, leaving only she and me behind. Who was she? And why did her presence cause such strong feelings in me? As I looked into her eyes, I knew my life was about to change in ways I had never imagined. As she got closer, she projected nothing but confidence, which was my kind. Her luscious locks flowed over her shoulders in waves, framing a face that was both breathtakingly gorgeous and seductively alluring. Her green eyes appeared to penetrate through to my very soul, and her lips curled into a sensual smile that sent shivers down my spine. There was no denying her enchantment—an enticing pull that seemed to bring me closer with every passing instant. I couldn't help but notice how her contours highlighted her shape, the slight sway of her hips as she moved, and the enticing glimpse of skin peeping through the fabric of her dress. She was a sensual vision, a temptress whose mere presence kindled a fire within me. As she approached, her voice became a faint whisper in my ear, sending a shiver of excitement through my veins. "Hello, Dominic," she said softly, her voice husky with desire. Drawing circles on my palm with her nails, she asked, "What's a handsome alpha like yourself doing all alone without any entertainment?" “I just came to chill.” I managed to say this while being awestruck by her beauty. With a smirk and her signature sultry voice, she whispered, “Why don’t we go upstairs and I’ll give you a different type of chills instead?” My heart nearly stopped as I envisioned the multiple positions that I could put her in. Mere looking at her, she knew exactly what she wanted, and I admired her boldness, so how could I say no, especially when my wolf already made mention that she was of age? “Sure.” I took her hand and led her to a room that Marcus had reserved for situations like this. And boy, the minute we got into the room, she stretched to kiss me while unbuttoning my shirt as our breaths quickened. Everything was happening so fast, and I didn’t care if I could handle it as I carried her off her feet and dropped on the bed, ripping my clothes apart and that of hers as well. ***** As the night ended on a hot note of passion and desire, I still couldn’t get her off my mind, and it was worse when my wolf forced a conversation out of me. “Why doesn’t she seem to realize that we are mates? Or is she pretending so she wouldn’t have to reject us?” I didn’t have an answer for me, and I really didn’t care because I didn’t think beyond the presence. “Whatever it is, I’m fine with it because I don’t intend to make her my mate.” I was being honest with him, and whatever reaction he had in store was his own headache. However, my eyes still darted to her exposed body frame as her scent filled my nostrils, and I found my hands on her firm breasts, fondling them softly for her sexy moans to bless my ears. As I continued, she moved gently as if already affected by my touch, and I loved it, but when her eyes eventually fluttered open,. She was such a beauty to behold. “You’re awake, finally.” “Yeah.” She replied, clearing her throat while sitting up. From the worried expression on her face, I could tell something was off, and before I even asked her, she spilled it all out. “You need to know who I am.” My mate, I already... “I’m Marissa, Tristan Blackwood’s fiancée, but I have thought about this deeply, and I have decided that I want to marry you instead.” “I want it now.”
