David’s head buzzed. If she went home, why didn't she contact him? How was she supposed to live on her own with her leg like that? David clenched his hands into tight fists and said hoarsely, "Thank you." Then he spun around and headed straight for the elevator. Valerie jogged after him, trying to keep up. "David, don't worry.
