The Interview

"Oh, boy I'm so nervous." My heart bangs against my chest as I sit waiting to be taken back. Time goes by slowly, tick tick tick, all I can hear is the voices in the building and the clock on the wall above me. It's like time is against me today. Tick tick tick, that clock is driving nuts. "Rose Wylder, would you come with me?" A tall muscular guy came out of his office. "My name is Johnny Casey, but everyone calls me John." "Nice to meet you sir." I told my hand out to shake his. He takes it and firmly shakes my hand. "You don't have to call me sir, but thank you, it's nice to meet you Ms.Wylder. What brought you to this establishment?" His face was calm and smooth. "Well, I really thought this would be a great opportunity for me. I also thought it would be a good place to start my first job." I smiled sweetly, trying to stay calm and collected. Even though I wasn't calm before I got in here. "I do think you would be a great asset to the business. How would you like to be my assistant to start out?" He said without hesitation as if he had taken one look at me and had already decided what he wanted me to do here. "Y-your assistant? You want me to be your assistant?" I felt stupid for stuttering but he caught me off guard. "Yes, I do, I don't have an assistant at the moment and I think that would be a great start for you. What do you think?" He smiled patiently for my response. "Of course. I'll do it!" The excitement jumped out of me. I got the job! "Thank you sir!" "You're welcome, Ms. Wylder." He chuckled at my excitement and opened the door for me. As I left the building I walked over to the coffee shop. Delighted by the news I had just received I deserved a coffee and a small cake in celebration. This was a joyous day indeed. This means I have a chance to move out sooner and be free from the a***e. As I walked into the shop I saw the cute guy, I still don't know his name, I should ask.. I walk up to him scared but determined to find out his name. I tap him on the shoulder.. "Hey, guess who!" I giggled. He turned around and smiled at me. "Hey, girl! How's it going?" His eyes shimmered in the florescent lights. "It's going well, I got a job! I have a question for you." I looked at him deeply with a smile. "Shoot." I gazed into his beautiful blue eyes. "Well, I never caught your name, do you mind telling me?" I blushed hard, like a bright red like maraschino cherries. "My name is Chris, Chris Everett I never got yours either." he smiled brightly at the fact I was blushing like a cherry. "It's Rose, Rose Wylder." I think this is where I've fallen madly in love. we've been friends for a while but I think I'm going to keep my tiny crush on him a secret for now. I don't want to scare him away with it. I mean what if he doesn't like me back? I don't want to be crushed by my own crush that's torment waiting to happen. I feel enough pain as it is.
