Gauri and Ashwathama walked. Gauri hoped they had a compass now, that would be a true help. She attempted to contact Krish for whatever telepathic link they had, but he was gone from her head. He only informed her she would be in difficulty with no aid in order to help her. She sighed, weary and hungry. Maybe they'd die here, never to be discovered again, for there was nothing here, not even a village. They soon reached a route with less sand and more rocks, and it became difficult to walk straight without colliding with one of those stones and nearly hurting her ankle. It must have been all of her rigorous training in the Himalayas that kept her sane and in one piece till now. Otherwise, she knew herself well enough to say she would be pulling her hair out and feeling an infinite vacuum
