Friday
Finally, it was Friday. Harper had left yesterday, emptying her locker on Wednesday evening and passing the captain position to Carmella. As for Daniel, I was giving him the cold shoulder after he tried talking to me yesterday. I even got a ride home with Joshua before he left for work.
I woke up to sunlight streaming through the thin curtains.
“It’s Friday! You know what that means?” Joshua smiled.
“Game night!” I shrieked.
“I can’t wait to meet your new guy friend. Daniel is going to be so jealous,” he added.
“Well, he doesn’t know, and he’s away for the weekend.”
