"Thank you for completing that task on time; most teams haven't even reached halfway yet," Mrs. Cady said.
I smiled, recalling how we stayed up past lights out to finish the item. Plus, I won fifty bucks when Jerry burned his batch of cookies.
"We’re finished too," Katie said, dressed in black shorts and a red tank top, her blonde hair in a bun.
"Great! Your task until next Friday is to develop an experiment. You may use resources here and kitchen utensils," she explained. "You’ll brainstorm ideas for the rest of the morning, and your usage here is extended until 9 PM sharp."
After days of heat, rain finally fell. Saturday night, we had to keep the windows open for a breeze.
