"Hey, that 4th of July ice cream cake won't make itself. We need to start—it takes six hours to finish," Zach said while I was talking to Jerry. "We'll need to add the frosting after."
It was now 7:10, so the cake needed to be in the freezer by 8:00.
"You guys are making an ice cream cake? That's awesome; save me a piece!" Jerry grinned.
"Sure thing, but I want to try your team's recipe too," I replied as we headed to the kitchen, where Mrs. Smith was making pancakes.
"Oh, you're the team making the ice cream cake?" she asked, and we nodded.
