When Kindel had finished reading the entire list, she was terrified and didn't know what to do. Kindel wanted to run away, but she couldn't get out of this hellhole. She always loved the design and how it looked inside with all the appliances and the colors. It had a modern look to it and a darker interior. The kitchen had so much space and a big island. It was so much space and the walls were tall. The bathroom had a Jacuzzi bathtub and a huge shower that could hold two people. She loved the apartment, but now that she knew what Travis is capable of and what lengths he will go to, she knew she had to get out. Kindel tried to get past the security alarm, but Travis would catch her every time and slap, choke, and kick her. She finally gave up and knew she would never get out. Kindel obeyed Travis, and she obeyed by the rules. Kindel did the laundry, cooked, and cleaned. One day he came home very intoxicated; he could barely form a sentence. Kindel got him into bed, and he said, "Come to bed with me. I need you now." Kindel tried to pull her hand, which he had grabbed earlier, but he was so much stronger than her. He pulled her onto the bed and forcefully had s*x with her. There was nothing she could do or say. She tried telling him no, and she tried to push him off her, but that just made him madder; that is when he slapped her so hard that she had blood on her lips. He said, "b***h, don't touch me again. Then he beat her until she couldn't see and could barely walk." The next day he told her it was her fault that it happened because she didn't follow the rules and put hands on him.

One day Travis came in and said that his friends were coming today. Kindel knew Travis's best friends , and they knew about some of the abuse but didn't say a word to anyone. Everyone feared Travis and what he might do if someone like cops were to find out what he does to Kindel. Travis told her to put some makeup on to cover all the bruises. Kindel went and did her makeup and covered all the bruises and her scratches. She then went to cook some appetizers and dinner because he likes both done when his best friends are over. Josh and Madison are his best friends. Josh was a ladies' man and would just do hook-ups. He was good-looking, but not nearly as good-looking as Travis. He loved sports, and he played most of them: football, baseball, soccer, and basketball. When he went to college, he went for coaching. Madison was the joker, and Kindel had a good relationship with him. He would make everyone happy with his jokes. They have all been friends since they met in high school. Once she had made the appetizers, Kindel put them down on the cocktail table or the coffee table. Then, Kindel put dinner on the table and the nice plates and silverware. Travis pulled her into the kitchen again and told her to act right, or she knew what he would do. This scared Kindel so much that she was shaking. She shook it off before Travis came back and did something in front of the guys. Kindel walked out and told both of the guys hello. The guys told her hello back, but Madison looked at her like he wanted to take her away from all this and that he knew what Travis did. Travis didn't like the way Madison was looking at her so he said something. He told Madison that he could quit staring at Kindel before he did something to him. When they finished dinner, Josh and Travis went to the living room while Madison stayed and helped Kindel clean up. Kindel told him he has to go in there because he is going to get in trouble with Travis. Madison told her he would go after he said what he had to say. Madison then said, "You need to leave, and we must find a solution."
