Kindel had been living in hell for weeks. Travis was very abusive whenever he wanted to be, and he would have his way with her whenever he wanted; every time by force. She hurt all over. He had a list again for her, and she knew she had to follow it. Since she couldn't get away from him, she had to follow his commands, or he would kill her and Wyatt. "Wyatt, how she missed him," she thought. She didn't know if she would ever get to see him again, and that terrified her more than anything. He was her everything, and he held her whole heart. She never got to tell him. She never got to tell him she was pregnant, and now she never will. Travis took that away. He takes away everything. While Wyatt is her light, Travis is the darkness in the day. She can't get away from Travis because he is always two steps ahead. Travis knows the hold he has over Kindel, and he loves the power; he thrives on it. Power is important to Travis because of his family; he has always gotten everything that he wanted.

Wyatt was doing everything he could to get Kindel back. He talked to the police and the FBI every day to get an update. They could not figure out how he got her out of the house and where she is now. The trail is cold. Wyatt was going insane. He didn't know what to do. His mother and his brother said that it was a good thing, and he needed to move on. They told him that his saying she was his girlfriend on national TV was putting too much attention on the family, but he didn't care. He just wanted to find Kindel. His sisters and father were being very supportive. They have been coming over and helping with the search and doing anything that can be done. They have been calling all the tips that have come in to them and have also set up a reward and billboards to spread the word. His mom and brother didn't want any of it done because it brings more attention to the family that Wyatt brought someone like that into the family. Wyatt couldn't believe it. It caused a huge fight, and the rift that was between him and them got even bigger.

Kindel knew she couldn't stop fighting. She knew that there might be a day when she got to see Wyatt again, even if it was a slight chance. Travis kept trying to break her. He would call her all kinds of names and would abuse her physically, but she would not back down. She had become so strong with Wyatt, and she didn't even know it. For weeks the only person she saw was Travis or the doctor to patch her up, and then he would leave. She can see people outside at the beach, but Travis doesn't let her close to the windows because he is scared that someone will see her and recognize her from all the missing posters and billboards. "Why can't Danial just give up," Travis thought.
