When they went into the house, they could hear laughter and music. They went to find where everyone was, and it looked like his mom had invited the whole family. There were people in the living room and in the kitchen and in the backyard Wyatt found his Dad in the living room speaking to some family friends, and so he told Kindel that he was so sorry about the size of this party but this is all his mother's doing. Kindel told him it was okay, and then she reached her hand out to his dad and said, "It's nice to meet you." He looked at her hand and asked, "So you're the one that has got all my son's attention these days?" She didn't know what to say except yes because she had been spending a great deal of time with Wyatt. He said, " I'm just messing with you, nice to meet you too!" Next, they went to find either his mom or his siblings. They found his siblings all talking together outside. Wyatt asked what they were doing, and that's when they went silent. Wyatt's brother, Thomas, said, "We were just talking about how you brought work with you." Kindel had a feeling that was how they were going to feel about her, but she didn't expect it to be said so straightforwardly and to her face. Wyatt was furious; furious that it was said, and furious that it was said to Kindel. He thinks of himself as her protector. Wyatt said, "Thomas, you are out of line. Even for you, you have gone too far. I am dating her, and if you or anyone else in the family does not like it then you can over or move out of our way because she is here to stay." Kindel wanted to have a full make-out session right there in front of his siblings because that was so hot. No one has ever stood up for her like that. Wyatt took Kindel's hand, and they left. Kindel said sorry to his sisters even though she did nothing. They then went searching for Wyatt's Mom because that is the last family member that she has to meet. Wyatt was actually worried about what his mom would say because she was a wild card; you never know what she is going to say. They found Savannah, Wyatt's mom, in the kitchen giving the caterers instructions; or really, yelling at them. Wyatt let his mom know they were there; she turned and looked Kindel up and down, giving her looks that could kill. She felt like she was being judged right there where she was standing, and she was. Wyatt said, "Mom, this is Kindel, the woman about whom I have told you and have fallen in love with. Kindel, I have known for a while that I was falling, but now I know I love you from Dusk to Dawn always and forever," Savannah asked, "Did I just hear you correctly? Did you really fall in love with Charity?" Wyatt said, "Mom, I can't believe that you and Thomas could both be so shallow. I have heard you say things I don't agree with, but I can't believe that you would be that arrogant and egotistical. We are leaving." His sisters heard all the commotion and said, " You just got here. Stay for a little while longer, please." Wyatt said, "No, we are leaving now, you all can't talk to Kindel like that, and think I'm going to be okay with it." Kindel said, "I'm sorry." At that, they left and went to Wyatt's house.
