As soon as Elena left Valerie's office, she drove across town to Dare Enterprises. She would talk to Damon and get around Valerie one way or another. Signing this paper was degrading. Sure, the child was Davius', but signing it just signified to everyone who didn't know that the child was conceived before they got married, and he would always be that kid. She did not want that for her child.
However, as she got up to the top floor, she went straight to Damon's office. The lights were out, and both he and Nicoli were gone. She walked down the hall to Davius' office. Same thing. In fact, the whole top floor was empty. This never happened in the middle of the day. She had thought that they were joking when they told her to take the rest day off after her meeting.
Elena let herself into Damon's office, deciding to wait for him to return. She pulled out the papers from Valerie and read through all the paperwork carefully. There was really nothing wrong with the papers, considering it was Davius' child. Everything was very thorough, but it was just a principle.
At around ten, she heard a noise outside the office. The windows were open so she could clearly see Damon and Davius in the dark. They were in a heated argument with Nocoli and Natali. Whatever issue was going on with the twins had Damon holding Davius back as she shouted. It was times like this that she wished this room were not soundproof. Before she knew it, Damon slammed the door open so hard it hit the wall. She could not help the scream that came out of her mouth.
Daman grabbed her, "What are you doing in here, Elena?" he practically shouted.
"You're hurting me," she pulled against his hold.
Upon hearing Elena's name, Davius came running in, "Let her go, Damon, you're not mad at her."
"Take her and get out," he hollered.
"Damon," Elena cried, "Valerie."
He cut her off, "Stop it, Elena. I have bigger things to worry about than your outrage. Sign the papers or don't sign the papers, but get out of my office, now!" he yelled.
Instead, Elena started to hyperventilate. She was crying so hard, "How can you talk to me like this? You know me. You know I am not lying about the baby."
"Then you have no reason not to sign. Good night, Elena. Davius takes her home, and then gets back here."
"Yes, Boss," was all that Davius
"Elena, I'm sorry about the arm," he apologized, rubbing his neck.
"It's okay. I know you did not mean it." Elena whimpered.
"It's not okay." Damon said softly, "Goodnight."
"Goodnight," Elena smiled softly. Then, followed Davius out of the office.
Around 11, Valerie showed up at Dare Enterprise. She rode the vip elevator up to the top floor, the door opened, and Damon was waiting with a drink in hand. "Look who shows up!" he fained surprised.
"You're drunk," Valerie stated and walked around him.
Damon grabbed her arm as she walked by and pulled her into him, "Let's not do this here," she said gently.
"I'll do whatever I want; there is no one here, Val." He whispered in her ear as he kissed the side of her neck, "Will you yield to me? That is the question?"
"Is it?" Valerie giggled.
"Indeed," his arm moved to her waist, "care to tell me about your little office visit today?"
"With Elena?" she laughed, "I'm pretty sure you can guess how that went."
Damon bit her neck gently, "Not the meeting I am talking about," he chuckled a bit, and she relaxed.
She spun around in his hold to face him head-on and reached up and touched his face, "Is this about Paxton? You know we work together." Stopping to give him a kiss and allowing him to deepen it before she pulled back, "It was just a ploy."
"To get my attention," Damon smiled, "because you have it."
Valerie smiled and shook her head, "To make a point."
"Was it worth it?" he asked as he unbuttoned her blouse slowly. Keeping his eyes fixed on her.
Her breathing hitched as he pulled it off completely and threw it on the ground, "Without a doubt," she replied sneakily. As she unzipped her skirt and let it fall.
"Maybe I should punish you for that," Damon.
"Maybe you should," she teased as Damon lifted her in the air and carried her towards his office.
"What happened to I'll do it wherever I want," he laughed.
He slapped her butt hard, and she squealed a bit, "Keep tempting me, and I will." He pushed his door open and laid her on the couch, but the moment her head hit the cushions, she felt something. She reached in and pulled out a wallet.
She bolted off the couch, "Oh, Damon," she shook her head and threw the wallet at his chest, "and here I spent all day hearing about your mistress, and I come here and find this. You really did not take my warning to heart. Tell Elena I said hi, and don't you dare come home tonight."
"Valerie," he tried to come near her.
"Don't you touch me, you selfish bastard," she yelled.
"I didn't do anything," he followed her out in the hallway as she picked up her clothes, "Please, Val, just talk to me."
"Are you the father of her baby. Is that why you didn't care if she had the DNA test? Is that why she thinks you won't make her sign it?" she screamed as she got on the elevator.
"I told her to sign it. I told her to sign all of it," he yelled back, "when she showed up here. I threw her out, and have Davius take him home, you can ask him."
She pushed the button on the elevator, "I will," and then she was gone, and Damon was pissed.
He pulled out his phone and dialed his brother's number. Getting more impatient with each ring, "Pick up," he yelled at the phone. When Davius picked up, he ordered," I told you to drop off Elena and come back. Do you have any idea how much trouble you and your fiancé caused tonight? Get here now," he screamed, "or I will come get you." He ended the call and punched the wall before him. How did this mess of Davius backfire on him? He had enough to deal with in the business without problems at home. He tried to call his wife, but there was no answer. He threw the phone across the room, shattering the screen. Before sliding to the floor and interlocking his fingers behind his head while he waited for Davius.
When Davius got off the elevator, he noticed the broken wall and the shattered phone. He pulled his gun and looked around. He called out, "Damon, where are you?"
"In my office," he called out. Davius tucked his gun and walked into the office.
"Damon, what's going on?" he bent down to look at his brother.
Damon did not say anything right away; he picked up the wallet that Valerie had thrown at him and tossed it at Davius, "That is the problem."
"Elena's wallet?" he questioned, "You called me to the office at almost midnight because Elena left her wallet."
"Valerie found it in the cushions of the couch. She accused me of being the father of Elena's baby. She took off, and she doesn't believe me. Tell me why I should not put a bullet in you for that," he asked.
"Well, other than the fact I can help, well, fix this, he stammered.
"You think it is that easy? She warned me, Davius." Damon said.
"I will talk to her in the morning, and I will make sure Elena signs everything and leaves her alone," Davius concluded.
"I'm not sure that will be enough," Damon stood up, "but if you don't fix things, don't you dare show your face in my office."
