CHAPTER 18
Rose’s POV
A look of mock horror appeared on Ariana’s face while the rest of us burst into laughter.
“Please, let the past be in the past,” Ariana said. “I didn't even talk to the bastard for up to a week before I had to block him.”
We all burst into laughter again and I nearly choked on my doughnut.
After a while, Karen got up from her seat, glancing at her watch. “Uh, guys, I have to go now. I have a meeting with someone I've got to interview. This was fun and I would love for us to do it again.”
After hugging me, she took her leave. A few minutes later, Danny said his goodbyes too. Ariana stayed for another half hour before she had to go.
“When will I get to see you again?” she asked unhappily as we got up from our seats.
