CHAPTER 59 Third-person POV Layla Al-Mansoor stood in her room, staring gloomily out of one of the large arched windows. In the distance, a mother duck and her children were playing around on the small lake that had always been a form of therapy for her when she was younger. As a child, she never went a day without visiting the lake to feed the ducks. Even on days she was sick or too occupied, she would squeeze time out to continue what had been like a ritual for her.
