CHAPTER 43 Damien’s pov After leaving the dining area, I went to the room, removed my laptop from my bag, and headed over to sit on the bed with it. The anger in my chest refused to dissipate, even as I tried to use work as a distraction. That had always worked for me, but it threatened not to be effective that afternoon. Several minutes after staring at my laptop and getting nothing done, I shut it down and placed it on the table beside me. I lay on the bed and closed my eyes to sleep, but all I ended up doing was tossing and turning on the bed.
