Damien’s POV
An overwhelming sense of nostalgia washed over me as I watched the people and the cars down below. The afternoon breeze was light on my face, caressing it gently. It was a sunny day, but the sun had chosen to hide behind clouds for a while. In less than two months, my life had changed a lot. Some of my plans were still on track, but a lot of them had changed drastically to accommodate another person's own. Her own. She'd brought all manner of changes to my life, adding all kinds of spices while at it.
With a sigh, I backed away from the open window and the noisy atmosphere below it. The steady beeping of the heart monitor welcomed me as I turned to the bed.
