Melissa
When Abigail and Melissa got into the car, Abigail plugged her phone in and put on the Spotify playlist she had made for the trip home. It was composed of all the songs they had loved from growing up. Melissa turned up the volume as soon as the music started singing along. Between songs Melissa shouted, “this playlist is the f*****g best!” Abigail just laughed and sang along with her.
About halfway through the drive, Melissa lowered the volume and turned towards Abigail.
“Abs, I can’t even believe Jer!”
“What do you mean?”
“I always thought the two of you would end up together. I really wanted you to be my sister.”
“Why would you say that? We never even dated?”
“Oh come on Abby! Everyone knew you and Jer had the hots for each other growing up.”
