Harper The words didn't make sense. They also didn't sound like a lie. Vane's answer wasn't verbal. He moved so fast I only caught the aftermath. One second the Destroyer was standing. The next he was inside the wall again, concrete blooming outward around the impact. Vane pulled him out and slammed him into the floor. The crack split up through the foundation like a fault line.
