A distasteful twist

1040 Words
Olyria's pov I begged. I pleaded. I knelt down and profusely apologized for my actions. But the wolf king showed no mercy. Zamiel selected the whip himself, and Celia had delivered the strikes. This whip was different, unlike the one I had been accustomed to in my early childhood. He called it the 'sting ray's' tail. It looked like a long curly rope made of tuff material and it had an uneven texture. But I came to understand why it was called the sting ray's tail by him. Because every strike tore through my skin and edged me closer to my ancestors. My tears bled from my eyes in synchrony to my skin. I lay on the damp ground curled there like a ball of moss as I heard whispers of the bags of coal being distributed amongst pack sectors. "I curse the day I met you Kubar." My lips seemed to say, although I felt like I should've cursed my fate too. Because why did it have to be me, upon all the beings on this earth, why did I have to be mated to this cruel beast. The heavy door creaked open. I didn't lift my face up from the ground though. Too scared that if I did, then I would be forced to face the sting ray's tail once more. The footsteps were heavy, and then still. "Your screams disturbed my nap." His voice made me still in fear. Instinctively, I felt like a prey in the abode of their predator. "Have you come to finish what Celia started?" I hiccupped, holding my back my tears from spilling over once more. His fingers pressed into my open wounds, I whimpered. "Lay still. I brought a healing balm." I stayed still, biting my lip through the pain as he coated my bloodied wounds with a gel-like paste. It had a cooling effect, and he wasn't.....rough. For a while, silence reigned between us. Till my stubborn mouth decided to speak. "I-Is there a possibility of us ever.....bargaining?" He didn't pause his actions. "For your freedom?" I nodded. Hoping that maybe there was a way out of this. "Before or after you birth my heir?" "Um, the former?" He chuckled. "The only way you're leaving this place before giving me an heir is in a tightly-screwed coffin." I gulped, turning my front to him "What about after?" He seemed to be thinking about it for a while, and from scanning his demeanor. He appeared conflicted about something. "There might be no after for you." ___ It was safe to say that after he uttered those words, my heart rate went up. I was only brought back to reality when he scooped me up from the ground. "Where are you taking me? The slaughter?, a breeding house?, your red room?" He chuckled and placed his hand on my bottom, feeling around. I stiffened up. "I take it you've f****d around with Kubar already?" I paused, Yes I had been with Kubar for a while, when he brought me to the castle I served as a maid for years and then he courted me and made me queen, we were supposed to have s*x on the Braktice. Because he had insisted that having s*x on a sacred day would mean fertility for us. "No, Kubar didn't....do me...yet." He paused, a hand on my bottom and one around my waist. "f*****g hell." He cursed. I had to cover my ears from how raw the curse spewed from his lips. He started quickly across the fields. Big brawny wolves like him were staring at us as we walked back. I hid my bleeding body with the hem of his coat as his trodded further, seething with anger. I didn't know what the problem was. He looked up at the sky. "You're playing quite the number on me, Selene." Selene? Was he communicating with the Greek mythological goddess?. "W-wha are-" "Please tell me that another man must've touched you." I was confused and this point, flustered even. "Before Cresit, our village.....didn't really have boys my age." "How old are you?" He accidentally bumped his shoulder into my rib and lowered me to the ground. I did not land on my legs. "Twenty." "I'm ten years older." "Oh..." He looked sharp, in a mature way, in both bulk and face, but he also had a certain youthfulness to him. He cursed another his breath again. "A virgin, a f*****g virgin. This is bullshit." He ran a hand over his face, his other fist tightening at his side like he was trying not to punch something, maybe the air, maybe the moon, maybe me. I didn't know. "You're ruining all my plans," he muttered. "I...I didn't ask to be a part of them," I said softly, though my voice shook. He turned to me sharply. "No. You didn't. But the moon goddess apparently had a sick sense of humor." I didn't respond. Mostly because I didn't know what to say. Didn't most men of our times prefer their women untouched and pure, the thicker the hymen, the sweeter the act of defiling them. Or so I heard. His silver eyes flicked to mine. "You're staying in my chamber tonight." I blanched. "No." "When will you learn that you don't get to say no, little Red." "I should have freedom of-" I hissed, immediately regretting the surge of boldness as his hand gripped my jaw. "You've never been a slave before, and considering your.....fragility. I am trying to be careful with you. If you push me, I'll replace the cooling gel on your wounds with burning silver." My mind created the image out of thin air and I shivered. I doubt I'd survive the sting of raw melting silver anywhere close to my skin. But if he wouldn't let me speak, how then would I be able to communicate? "My last.....mate, she wasn't a virgin and she still lost consciousness that night." "What do you mean....lost consciousness? She died?" I murmured, my legs feeling like jelly glued to the ground. "You'll find out soon enough." That was when it occurred to me, The blood moon was in five days. And that was when Zamiel planned to take me.
