Donny kicked me in the stomach again knocking all the wind from my lungs, I gasped grabbing the mat for dear life. I had been here only a week and the beatings were almost constant because I refused to break
"f**k you, you sadistic f**k"
I spit at him. Wrong f*****g choice fay can you not just shut your stupid face.
That's when he kicked my face and I felt my teeth chatter. As I went to move my hand to hold my jaw he stood on it crushing my fingers with his giant fat foot.
Blood ran down my chin and dribbled onto the floor as I screamed. He grabbed my hair and twisted it painfully Pulling my face up to look at him!
"Say that again sweetheart I dare you"
Shut your mouth fay don't say a thing. He twisted his foot on my fingers and I feel them dislocate and I scream as he sneers at me
"f**k you you f*****g sadistic bastard"
I screamed at him. Then I spit my blood at him. As he blinks the blood from his eyes His face morphs into pure rage and he drops my head and kicks my face as hard as he could, dislocating my jaw and sending me into darkness. Only to be woken a moment later when he pops my jaw back in place and then my fingers. The lights go out and I black out from the pain

Ardens POV
I felt her presence even before she opened the back door and the nerves she had about just walking outside. I couldn't help but smile when she found me in the sea off warriors with another woman
She honestly thought the plain Jane infront of me was more beautiful than her. I enjoyed her thoughts of murder while she watched me. I could feel her eyes on me the entire time but I thought I'd let her in on the fact I knew she was there when she seriously thought I would be too intrigued by another woman and not notice her. Not possible. She was the stars in the sky. I could look at them forever and never get bored. I was just about to finish up with the girl so preoccupied with getting done with her so I could go see my own girl. But suddenly I felt fear slice through my gut and then i heard it
"s**t f**k does anyone know who this is. Hey are you ok?"
My brother zanders voice boomed through the crowd and I didn't even say goodbye I just ran to her. I sprinted straight through the field and slid across the grass Landing in front of my beautiful mate.
She was so excited to have stuff delivered and it was obvious she had brushed her wild crazy hair and put an effort into her wardrobe choices. She even had black stuff on her eyes that made the green stand out. She was perfect.
But sadly my wild haired beauty was completely catatonic. She sat straight up on the seat, her heart rate was drumming in her chest 100miles an hour. She was as white as snow and had silent tears run down her face. Completely frozen on the spot.
"Baby it's Arden you're ok. Come back to me baby. Please baby"
Nothing.. I growled and looked at my douchebag brother
"What the f**k did you say to her?"
He looked shocked. I had told him about her and what she had been through but it's one thing to hear it and another to witness it. He shook his head completely confused
"Honestly bro I just said hey sweetheart you look lost"
I growled and punched the ground
"Don't use that word around her. That's what they called her. It must have triggered her"
Guilt washes over his face.
"I'm so sorry I had no idea"
I felt a little guilty blaming him but he was told not to approach her until I introduced them so she could take control of the situation. Like when she is warned in advance she always warms up to the people around her, she just needs to have a warning.
"It's ok. At least she's not screaming today"
I mumble. She had been through so much and I wish I could take it all away for her but we just had to do a little at a time like gran said. I push some of her hair away from her face. It was like a bird's nest, she was like a Viking but I loved it. I loved it all big and puffy and wild. Yes it was a nightmare to sleep beside but she pulled off the warrior chick look beautifully.
"Fay can you hear me baby. It's Arden. You're with Arden and no one will ever hurt you again. I will kill them, remember?"
She doesn't budge and it's starting to worry me. Her heart is still pounding so hard. I'm not sure if it's possible for a hellhound to have a heart attack but if it is she will end up having one. I lean my head against hers and hold her stiff neck. I kiss the side of her lips gently hoping the sparks will wake her up.
"Baby it's Arden. Your Safe, you're in my arms and Nobody can hurt you when you're in my arms. Nobody can hurt you ever again—"
"—-because you will kill them. You will kill an army for me. You will kill them all to keep me safe"
I sigh in relief and pull her into my chest.
"What happened!"
Her voice was small and afraid
"My brother accidentally triggered you"
"Your brother?"
Her little head pulled out of my chest but she froze and her heart rate spiked again. I looked behind me and we were surrounded by worried warriors.
"See all of them would kill for you, they all care"
The crowd around us all chanted
"we would kill for you Luna"
Her eyes were wide in surprise as each one kneeled to her and bared their neck for her.
"See baby. They are all your family and none of them would ever let anyone hurt you again. Ok"
I pulled her face to mine and I kissed her cheek and lips then pulled back to look at her face. She smiled at me.
"Thank you all"
She said back to them but they heard and one by one they got up and went back to training leaving just me and her and Zander.
"Luna I'm so sorry for triggering you that was not my intention"
She smiled at him
"Honestly it could happen to anyone. Don't feel bad and please call me fay"
Zander pushed his hand out
"Thank you fay. I'm Zander Ardens better brother"
I rolled my eyes at him and punched him in the leg making fay giggle.
"I don't know about that, you've got some stiff competition. Ardens one of a kind"
She falls into my chest again.
"You look so so good today"
I whisper she pulls back and blushes.
"You think?"
I widen my eyes and nod and wink at her. Her face flushes and I stand up and she climbs on me and kisses my mark.
"I missed you"
"I missed you too. Let's go eat we have a date with your Nana"
I squeeze her butt and she growls playfully, making me laugh.
"That growl is just so darn cute"
She scoffs at me
"Excuse me, my growl is not cute, it's vicious and untamed.
I laugh again. It sounded more like a kitten than a wolf but I wouldn't tell her that.

Fays POV
I was so excited to see Nan again today, I had chosen a little nameless wolf cub for my nana. I thought she would like to name him herself.
Baylee or mum as she insists I call her managed to round up some dresses for me to try on for nana for my Luna ceremony. I was so thankful for them all taking time to really let me settle in and figure things out slowly.
I needed the time to learn how to be around people again. To trust more than just Arden, although I'm finding it easier to trust those who Arden truly trusts.
Nana is waiting on the porch for us when we arrive. Her face lights up as I get out of the car but when she spots the pup her eyes widen and the excitement is written all over her features and when he runs to her she calls him inside not even bothering to greet me. Arden thinks it's hilarious.
I follow her in and she's so busy baby talking to the pup who has his tongue stuck out the side she doesn't even say hello.
"Do you like him nana?"
"Oh love he is precious. When did you get him?"
I grinned
"Well actually he is for you. If you want him? He's already house trained and trained as a guard. He will keep you safe"
"You got him for me?"
I nod excitedly
"Oh fayfay. This is amazing. Thank you so much. What's his name?"
"That's for you to decide. And we brought some meat to feed him. He eats raw meat, not dog food ok?"
She was so busy chatting with him I'm not sure she actually took the information in but I let her have the moment.
"I think I will call you thunder. Isn't that right boy. Oh your so handsome"
Arden and me laugh as a warrior walks into the house
"Nana, I'm buying lunch, what would you like?"
"Ohh get me a kfc son please"
He walks in and kisses her cheek then leaves again. They seem to have settled in quite well.
"I have brought some dresses to try on for my Luna ceremony. I really hope you can come? I'm not ready for a big thing so we are just going to have a small one tomorrow and dinner after with Ardens family"
She squeezed my knee and smiled
"Oh I wouldn't miss it for the world. Come on Arden up and out you can't be seeing the bride before the big day"
We both chuckle but Arden gets up to go
"But it's not a wedding. It's not, is it?"
I look to Arden with furrowed brows.
"Most do get married at the same time but no not if you don't want to"
Did I want to get married? Do I want that now? I know we are for life but do I really want to be Mrs moon? Yes actually I did. I really really did.
"I would like to share the same name as you? Maybe we could get married and celebrate with a party and vows in a few months time?"
He kneeled on the floor
"You're sure you want to marry me?"
His face lights up like a Christmas tree, like this is the most amazing thing he has ever heard. I nod at him and chuckle
"It's not exactly the proposal I had in mind but yes I would love to marry you Arden"
He kisses me and I moan. But I kiss back and wrap my fingers in his hair. He pulls back and I pout but he flushed embarrassed because we are in front of my nana. I roll my eyes and sit back.
"Good on you boy. You have chosen a good one there"
