A scream escaped my lips as I suddenly felt the mist throw me backwards, slamming my back against a tree and then swinging me forward, slamming my chest against the ground.
"No, please.... Let go of me!" I screamed, but my prayers were in vain.
I only felt the ground began to open up under my feet. My eyes, filled with surprise, widened as I fell into the gaping hole that had formed for my body to enter.
To my horror, the fog around me had disappeared. A burst of hope invaded me and I tried to get up to get out of that hellish hole.
However, all my hope vanished when I felt the earthen floor move. With a panicked scream trapped in my chest, I looked down and saw black hands coming out of the earth.
"Please forgive me. I'm innocent, I never hurt her... spare my life!" I screamed upwar
