11.Simon awakened, bathed in sweat. His sheets and pillow were drenched too. The moment he recognized this, the sharp headache returned almost simultaneously. It felt like his head had become caught in a clamp that was tightening. He immediately knew he had a fever, and he was also sure that the problem was bigger than he had imagined. As a doctor, he could not dismiss this reoccurring fever and spastic headache as a virus that could be easily overcome.
