“Wow!” With a hushed voice, Prince exclaimed with a low voice. “She is very stunning,” he said, stared at the new girl. Khalid gave him a ludicrous look. Prince just laughed heartily. “Am I not permitted to give compliments anymore?” he asked Khalid. “Allen, back your buddy up here.” With the silence from Allen, both Khalid and Prince looked up to see Allen’s dumsbstruck expression.
Khalid laughed and said, “Duuude.” “I’ve never seen you react this way before. It seems our boy is in love.” That final part was directed at Prince.
“Allen? Allen!” Prince called him.
Allen was still in a state of shock; He hadn’t been able to see anything other than her face, but he still felt a strong reaction towards her.
“We just haven’t seen this part of you before, so excuse us for being excited,” Prince said with a smile. Allen looked sideways at him. “That’s fine, but it’s nothing like that either,”
Khalid wasn’t in the right state of mind. Just minutes before the lecturer walked in, he had entered into an altercation with Maverick. He came after seeing the INF and tried to cause trouble. Khalid had come close to getting into a fistfight with him, he couldn’t concentrate and kept looking back at where Maverick sat.
The lecturer’s voice interrupted his reverie. “Introduce yourself to the class” requested him of the new girl. She looked at the lecturer, nodded, and then faced the class. It just so happens that the first person she made eye contact with, was Allen, who was staring straight at her. They stared at each other that way for a few seconds before she focused on the rest of the class. “Laura,” she said plainly with a blank expression on her face.
“Is that it?” The lecturer asked her and she responded with a small nod. “Okay. Have your seat anywhere.”
Gold, seeing it as an opportunity to make a friend, called over to sit Gold beside her and Zainab. Laura walked over to where they both sat. Zainab looked at her with a weird expression on her face as she looked at her, but Laura didn’t give her any attention.
“Hi, my name is Gold,” said Gold to her with a big smile. Laura just nodded at her, smiled, and took her seat.
Suddenly, Khalid who was seated beside Prince commented “Wow. She’s stunning.” Prince laughed and patted his back. “I did mention that.”
It was at Allen’s house, and his mum had just finished meeting with the clothes seller who was about to leave when she remembered Allen’s request to stall her until he returned. The woman made to pick up her luggage which contained the materials she came with when Allen’s mum stopped her. “Aunty, before you leave, let me entertain you with some refreshments.”
The woman started to refuse because she had another client to meet with. “That’s no problem, ma. I have to leave now to deliver to some of my clients.” She said as she tried to refuse. Allen’s mother sighed agitatedly and tried to convince her. “Can you just wait for a few more minutes? I want Allen to personally pick out some patterns that he likes.”
The cloth seller chuckled. “That’s okay, ma. I’ll be back in the next 30 minutes. Let me just make a quick delivery run.“
“NO!” Allen’s mum cried out. “Please, it’s important that you don’t leave. She attempted to hold the woman back by grabbing her luggage. The cloth seller stared on in shock. She had never seen her act this way before. “This is so unlike you, ma. Are there any problems?”
The other woman tried to come up with an excuse and tried to plead with her. “I had a dream about you last night. You just have to wait for at least 20 minutes.”
The cloth seller snorted. “Ma, do you believe in dreams? Never mind that I have to leave now.” She then exited the house with all efforts of Allen’s mum to hold her back, in vain. Ten minutes after she left, as she was driving on the road, another car that illegally followed a one-way collided with her vehicle. She died on the spot.
Allen was receiving a lecture when became overwhelmed with extreme pain in his heart. At the same time, he heard a loud crash inside of his head. With this, he permitted himself from the hall and ran to the restroom.
In the restroom, he tried as much as he could to calm his racing heart. After splashing water on his face, he leaned against a wall and cried.
ALLEN
Never ignore warnings even when they don’t make any sense. There was a Vision for her. She was supposed to leave the world today, but then a blessing was to be given to her, and she wouldn’t have died. Sometimes it hurts and my heart breaks if I see a vision and I can’t.” turn it off.
I have always seen many Visions since my childhood, and it was my mother who helped me implement some of them because my gift has to be kept a secret from everyone. Those who listen to it are saved and those who choose to act otherwise always end up getting hurt, or much worse. I can’t help it, sometimes I want to stop seeing Visions, but I remind myself that it is a part of my destiny.
My only problem is what exactly will my friends think of me when they find out I’m not like them. Will they stay with me or push me away? I don’t think I want to find out.
