“Can I sit next to you?” Laura asked.
I didn’t know what to say or how to act, so I just nodded my head in affirmation and sat up on the bed. She sat beside me and faced me. “Sorry for not checking up on you sooner. How are you feeling?” She asked.
I opened my mouth to reply but just ended up staring at her. She looked like an icy princess; stunning with a distant expression in her eyes.
“This is awkward because we’ve never had an actual conversation before, but you’re a classmate and I happened to witness what happened to you, so I thought it proper to visit you. Are you truly okay?” She asked me.
I realized that this was the longest we had ever spoken to each other. It was a bit weird, and I had no idea what to say to her.
